Dear Reader,

Christmas is a time of miracles, when impossible wishes get granted, and even the most elusive love is given and received.

Nora Caldwell learned heart-wrenching sacrifice as a child. She is determined her only son will not suffer the same lack of parental devotion.

Zane Lockhart is a Special Forces soldier who had everything, growing up. Except a purpose. He found that serving his country.

Nora and Zane can’t deny their attraction for each other, any more than they can seem to make their on-again, off-again relationship work. Duty and honor keep getting in the way. Zane wants to put their country first. Nora believes family should surpass all.

It takes Nora’s adorable three month old baby Liam and the wise residents of Laramie Gardens Home For Seniors to match-make some sense into these two, and give them the happily-ever-after kind of Christmas they deserve!

I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Happy holidays!

Dear Reader,

We’ve all done it. Made detailed plans, only to see them go hopelessly awry. We’ve also done the opposite. Made a Grand Plan with absolutely no details, intending to get by on the fly. Only to have that implode, too. So where is the happy medium?

Sage Lockhart’s romantic dreams have fallen apart. She still wants to have a child. But this time she is not taking any chances. She’s going into the situation with a clear-eyed vision and a proposal.

Nick Monroe has always pushed hard and fast for what he wants. That hasn’t worked out for him, either. Now, he’s trying to learn to be patient. To accept what can be given to him, without ruining everything by ambitiously wanting more.

So, when Nick and Sage decide to have a child together, they set the boundaries. No pressure, no expectations, and definitely no romance! They will remain lovers and friends, take each day as it comes, and share the baby they are now happily expecting. Until marriage becomes unexpectedly necessary. Then, all bets are off. And both are forced to figure out exactly what they want, all over again….

Happy reading!

Dear Reader,

We all have the capacity to forgive, but sometimes finding the compassion within us to do so can be tough. Such is the case for Wyatt Lockhart. He and Adelaide Smythe go way back, to a time when they were very close. {Too close, their parents said.} And many years after when, for reasons known only to the two of them, they barely spoke.

A chance meeting reminded them of the incredible chemistry they once had.

Unfortunately, it also highlighted the continuing differences between them. Throw in a little troublemaking by one of Adelaide’s family members, and it seemed like Wyatt and Adelaide were destined to be on the outs with each other for life.

Had Wyatt not found himself responsible for the care of Adelaide’s seven week old twins. Suddenly, Adelaide and Wyatt had two very good reasons to find a way to peacefully cohabit and become a real team. The question is, will a temporary liaison for the sake of the kids turn into a long lasting love? Only time will tell…

Happy Reading,

Dear Reader,

Christmas is all about giving, and showing the people we love how deeply we care. But how much is too much? When is a wish simply out of bounds? This is a question that must be answered by parents and spouses everywhere.

Molly Griffith grew up in modest circumstances and was orphaned at 18. A single mother, she is determined to give her son everything she missed, growing up. For her, money equals security. Ambition and hard work equal success.

Chance Lockhart grew up wealthy, and hated the sacrifices made on behalf of his mother’s social accomplishments and his dad’s spectacular career. Receiving nothing but a broken down ranch as his inheritance freed him to be his own man, and make his own money, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

Molly and Chance have nothing in common, except an inordinate ability to annoy each other. Until Molly’s three year old son decides he wants a live baby bull for Christmas, and only the esteemed Cowboy Chance can convince him otherwise….! Chance hates to quash or edit anyone else’s dreams. Nor does he want to see the cute little tyke disappointed on Christmas morning. So he and Molly reluctantly join forces in search of a solution, and in the process find so much else!

Merry Christmas!

Dear Reader,

It’s back to Laramie, Texas, for a five part series about a brand new branch of the Lockhart family.

Lucille Henderson Lockhart and her late husband Frank Lockhart both grew up on ranches in Laramie County. Now, Lucille plans to return to her roots, and she wants her five children around her.

Army physician, Captain Garrett Lockhart agrees to help his mother weather a crisis at the family’s charitable foundation, but he does not agree with anything renowned scandal manager, Hope Winslow wants to do.

Rancher Chance Lockhart is as bull-headed as the bulls he invests in, but sparks really fly when he goes toe to toe with rival Molly Griffin at Christmastime.

No one knows why cowboy Wyatt Lockhart and CPA Adelaide Smythe broke up, years ago, but there’s no doubt more than history—and a set of twins-- remains between the two of them.

Cowgirl-chef Sage Lockhart returns to Laramie, determined to retain her legendary independence, only to fall hard for western wear store owner, Nicholas Monroe.

Special Forces soldier Zane Lockhart believes in duty, honor, and country above all else, but when he goes after retired fellow military officer, Nora Caldwell, he finds much more is expected.

Hope you enjoy this series as much as I loved writing it.

Happy reading!

Cathy Thacker

When a cooing infant was left in a Valentine basket on his front porch, Alec Roman did what any rich philanderer would - he searched like crazy for the baby's anonymous mother! When he found the supposed mother's sister, he wasn't about to let he go, not even when Jade Kincaid began to steal his bachelor's heart!

Once upon a time, Cal and Ashley Hart were blissful newlyweds. But all of that changed when Ashley moved to Hawaii for three years, leaving her oh-so-sexy husband alone in Holly Springs. Can this Valentine’s Day bring two Harts together—forever?

Gannon is only in town to sell the family ranch, but Mayor Lily McCabe makes sticking around seem pretty attractive. He can see the desire in her eyes every time they're thrown together.

Loner Zach Taylor leads a jet-set life with no strings attached. But when his cousin and his wife are killed in a car crash, leaving behind two young children, Zach is the only family the kids have left. Temporarily entrusted with the children's care, attorney Claire McCabe has grown to love them as though they were her own. Can she convince reluctant Zach to take on a ready-made family? Or will she fall in love with him first? Find out in A McCabe's Valentine, a heartwarming Valentine's Day online read.

One of the most often asked fan questions is "Which McCabe books should I read first?".

  1. Start with the four original McCabe books, The McCabes of Texas,
  2. then read Texas Vows, a single title about Sam McCabe and his brood,
  3. and then The McCabes: The Next Generation books--all about the sons and daughter of Sam and Kate McCabe from Texas Vows.
  4. Then the series Texas Legacies:The Mccabes,
  5. followed by the McCabe Homecoming series,
  6. and finally the series that is out now, McCabe Multiples.

Confused? There is help! Visit my website series guide, complete with book covers, and individual story info, and a McCabe family tree, also with book covers. All that said, each book is a stand-alone read, so you can read them in any order, and refer to the family tree if you want to know more. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for your interest in my stories, and for reading!

Dear Reader,

Marriage is complicated under the best of circumstances. But when two long-time friends decide to marry in order to have a family together, life gets even more complex. For starters, Poppy McCabe and Trace Caulder are adopting. And not just one baby, but twins!

Poppy’s bungalow is small. But again, not a problem. Trace, a pilot, won’t be around that much. Plus, Poppy has triplet and twin sisters, so she knows a thing or two about life with multiples. She is sure she can handle it, all on her own. And if not, she has all those McCabe’s nearby…

Trace’s tumultuous childhood taught him a lot about domestic strife, and how to avoid it. First, make the military your home. Second, find a woman who is as fiercely independent as you are, then hang onto the friendship and passion you share. Third, keep to the limits you’ve set.

This works fine, until an unexpected event throws yet another monkey wrench into Trace’s and Poppy’s plans. Then, Poppy needs Trace to let down his guard and tell her what is in his heart. Trace isn’t sure he can…

I hope you enjoy this last installment of McCabe Multiples!
